ABOUT US
Driven by Purpose. Guided by Progress.
The Agency for Economic Development & Empowerment (ÆDE) is an indigenous Liberian development and consulting organization committed to creating sustainable solutions that improve lives and strengthen institutions.
Founded in 2006, ÆDE began by supporting grassroots communities during Liberia’s post-conflict recovery through livelihood restoration, community empowerment, and income-generating initiatives. As Liberia’s development needs have evolved, so has our organization.
Today, we combine community-based development with technical consulting, institutional strengthening, business development services, research, and strategic advisory support for government institutions, development partners, cooperatives, private sector organizations, and civil society. Our work is driven by the belief that lasting development occurs when empowered communities and capable institutions work together to create inclusive economic opportunities.
